About Mulberry & Twine

Hi, I'm Dani. I paint the countryside and the animals who live in it.

I'm the illustrator and founder of Mulberry & Twine. Everything in the shop starts as a watercolour, and everything is inspired by the things I love most: wildlife, historic sites, hiking and drawing.

Where it started

I grew up on the books of Anita Jeram and Janet Ahlberg. Anita's animals and Janet's storytelling showed me that a small, gentle picture can make you feel something. That idea is still behind every illustration I make.

What I make

I want my work to feel warm and a little bit magical. A playful dog portrait. A quiet countryside scene. A badger's birthday party. Each one is made to bring a bit of the outdoors into your home.
